Christ-Centred Community
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church (Ephesians 4:23) and all that we do both individually and corporately should centre around Him. This is particularly time when we gather for corporate worship. Our understanding on worship is outlined below.
Worship
Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1 (NIV)
In the broadest sense, everything we do should be considered as worship. Meeting together (corporate worship) is one aspect of this, but we believe it is a significant part of worship.
Although the style of worship can vary at Windsor Road Baptist Church when we meet together each Sunday morning, the premise that we are called to be a Christ-centred community remains the same. As a Christ-centred community God is the subject of our worship and as we make God the centre we believe our lives will be changed.
Who we are as individual believers depends greatly on the character of the community of believers in which we are nurtured. How faithfully our community shows Gods presence and passes on the narratives that reveal God when we assemble together is important in developing who we are and what we are becoming as Christians.
This is fostered in our worship services being interactive and inclusive of all those belonging to our community. We believe that worship comes from within the community and is not a performance to the community. We worship in unity but also value the diversity of the individual members within.

Congregation-created Mosaic
We believe worship should involve the whole person: body, mind and soul. Therefore we incorporate many modes into our services such as:
- song
- dance
- drama
- prayer
- visual art
- scripture readings
- responsive readings and prayers
We believe that God works though all aspects of our worship services. The worship is not limited to the singing just as the message is not limited to the sermon.
And as we encourage each other to focus on God in our lives we will draw closer to each other in community.
Our weekly worship service is on Sunday mornings at 10 am. We seek to have people from different backgrounds involved in organising services, continually providing us with new ideas for worshipping God. Each term we aim to have an intergenerational service when the children remain for the whole service and take part in it.

Sunday School
A fun packed, Bible-based program for children from pre-school to grade seven. Sunday School runs from about 10:20 am to 11:15 am in the Hall. Sunday School teachers are appointed by the Elders. They must have a suitability card and act according to WRBC Child Safety Policy. Personal and Medical information is completed for each child and an Attendance Register is filled out weekly.
A crèche area is available on Sunday morning for pre-Sunday School aged children. An area is available for nursing mothers at the back of the church.
Youth
Windsor Road Baptist Church, Cornerstone Christian Church and New Hope Brisbane have combined forces in a joint initiative to form the youth group FUSION. The group meets on Friday evenings at Oakleigh State School (Buxton Street Ashgrove). The youth group leaders must have a suitability card and are appointed by the Elders.
