It’s evident from the gospels that Jesus modeled life together in his interaction with His disciples. He often taught His disciples in a highly relational and informal atmosphere. It was in this small group context that He shared His life with them. This approach makes perfect sense because we are relational beings by design. God is a trinity; community of persons. He created us in His image, male and female, to worship and fellowship with Him. We are not created to be alone but to live in community and in friendship with God and others.

Therefore, the development of our ‘Life Together’ groups is vital for the growing and building up of the body of Christ and for equipping Christians for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-16). At Windsor Road Baptist Church, we desire to be a church of small groups rather than a church with small groups. Our focus in Life Together Groups is on moving:

1)     Upward together as worshippers

2)     Inward together as friends

3)     Outward together as disciples and ministers
